Services
I restore all types of upholstered furniture, whether it simply needs recovering, new foam, or a complete overhaul with stripping down to the frame and tying new springs. I evaluate each piece and can advise you on the level of work you'll need.

Complete Reupholstery
This is when all the padding in a piece is degraded or damaged and needs replacement. I strip the furniture to the wood frame and make any needed structural repairs. Then, I build the piece back up again with new materials.
If the piece warrants it, I install new coil or sinuous springs and hand tie them. I do an 8-point hand tie on my springs, which is only seen in the best quality furniture. An 8-point hand tie allows for the most even feel in a seat, and durability that will last a lifetime.

Cushions and Pillows
I sew cushions and throw pillows of any shape, size, and fill content.

Design Services
With a background in Art History, I'm knowledgeable about historical styles as well as modern trends. I can advise on keeping your furniture true to its era, or updating elements to give a more modern look.
I'm also more than happy to assist in fabric choices and selecting finishing details.
Collaborations
I love working with other artists, designers, woodworkers, etc! At my previous job in San Francisco, I was the one in our furniture shop that always got assigned the weirder, creative pieces. I've reupholstered chairs that were wrapped like mummies, a footstool with green horse legs, and an amazing set of angular interlocking ottomans that fit together like a puzzle. I also helped consult on some of our weirder projects, so I can help add an upholstery element to your amazing idea.
